Lazarus Committee This committee provides a luncheon for the family and friends of a parishioner after the Funeral Mass for their loved one. Volunteers are coordinated to drop off food in the parish hall ahead of time. Contact person is Mary Kay Snoke.
Soup for the Soul This ministry delivers soup and rolls to those returning from a hospital or nursing home stay, or to anyone who would appreciate a visit. Contact person is Donna Menigat.
Prayer Shawls This ministry gives comfort and support to our ill or grieving brothers and sisters within our parish, or at one of the four nursing homes nearby. They create hand-made shawls and lap blankets. They meet once a month. Contact person is Patty Patterson.
Nursing Home Rosary Group This ministry creates a Catholic faith-based community within the institutional boundaries of local nursing homes or retirement centers. They gather to read Scripture and recite the Rosary each week. Contact person is Terry Carpenter.
Foundation Dinners Foundation Dinners is a community-based service organization serving meals to the local people. It is staffed by volunteers from community churches and service clubs. St. Bernadette volunteers serve meals six times a year. Contact person is Kara Tencza.
St. Vincent de Paul This ministry helps Fairfiled County residents with rent, utilities, furniture, prescriptions and clothing. They have a food pantry that works through Information and Referral. A box for donations of non-perishable food items is located in the front vestibule of St. Bernadette. They collect monetary donations after Masses whenever a fifth Sunday occurs in a month. They have a store at 424 E. Locust St., Lancaster. Contact person is Mike Griffin.
Knights of Columbus The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men's fraternal benefit society. Catholic men 18 years of age and older are invited to attend. The knights of Columbus Council 1016 was instituted in Lancaster in 1905. This council works with the parishes in Lancaster and funds and assists with various projects. Contact person is Ben Peters.
Lady Knights This ministry is the helping hand to the Knight of Columbus Council 1016. Their mission is to help the gentlemen Knights as needed. They donate to and assist organizations in need. Contact person is Nancy Johnson.
Meals Apostolate This ministry provides meals for families with new children, seminarians staying at the rectory and any similar special circumstances as requested in a spirit of Christian charity. Contact person is Hannah Hettinger or Claire Smith.
